About Nicholas Shepherd, Intern
Aurora & Virtual Sessions
Are you finding it hard to focus? Do you often feel isolated? Does it seem like no one truly comprehends your struggles? Are you yearning to regain control of your life?
We often go through life as a revolving door, knowing when we will get off and when we will get back on-going through the motions and making it through another day. Often, going through the motions leads to symptoms of depression, anxiety, loneliness, sadness, and anger. The symptoms you are telling you, “I do not want to feel like this anymore.” It is not abnormal to have these thoughts and feelings. I invite you to lean into the feeling and allow yourself to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. They ultimately will enable us to break down some of the previously built walls and allow ourselves to live our lives again.
My therapeutic approach is centered around you, the client, and our relationship. I offer a variety of tools and strategies for emotional regulation, communication styles, and relationship challenges. Together, we will explore and identify what you already have in your toolbox and expand on that knowledge. Your full participation in this process will allow you to take back control of your emotional well-being.
I’m committed to establishing a safe and supportive space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The therapeutic relationship is based on the relationship between the therapist and the client. I will be here through your self-healing journey and empower you throughout it.
