• About Chelsie Hopperstad, President, LCSW

You may be feeling drained, frustrated, and overwhelmed. Maybe noticing difficulties in your relationships. You think life should be better, you just don’t know where to start. I can help you take small steps toward achieving your goal of feeling good again. I work with adult women struggling with anxiety or depression, and have a history of trauma or abuse.

I incorporate trauma and attachment work under the philosophy that “relationships are a mirror”; showing us where we need to heal, end patterns, and shift how and what we attract into our lives. This approach asks individuals to take a look at ways in which we have been conditioned, wounded, or how our ego attempts to keep us stuck. Additionally, this approach aims to help individuals break cycles of inherited family trauma.

“Pain travels through families until someone is ready to feel it.- Stephi Wagner”

Using evidenced based approaches including EMDR, ACT, Mindfulness and somatic modalities fused with holistic approaches such as reparenting, ego work, and attunement to energy and intuition, I offer a unique blend of trauma-focused holistic treatment.

If you are struggling to find joy in life, feeling stuck, often in toxic or unhealthy relationships, and/or experiencing depression and anxiety. You may still be impacted by a traumatic event that happened years ago. Trauma is stored in our nervous system-in our bodies. It may be triggered resulting in other mental health symptoms. I offer EMDR therapy so that trauma no longer controls your life. EMDR is an effective treatment that significantly reduces the impact of trauma. Learn more about it at www.emdria.org.

My hope is to offer a safe and supportive place for healing and recovery from past experiences. I believe everyone has the ability to heal. I decided to become a therapist to help end cycles of abuse, mental illness, and pain. I believe by healing trauma we can heal the world.
