About Courtney DiMattia, Intern
Arvada & Virtual Sessions Starting January 13

Hi there! I’m Courtney, and I’m so glad you’re here. The process of finding a therapist can be tricky, but you have already taken the most difficult step: making the decision to prioritize your wellbeing.

Therapy is like sailing through an unpredictable sea—each person the captain of their own ship, facing storms and calm waters alike. The voyage is deeply personal, full of unknowns, but it is also a journey of self-discovery, where each wave offers an opportunity to learn and adapt. Through exploration of meaning, identity, values, purpose, and the human experience, I believe we are all capable of confronting the uncertainties of life with curiosity and resilience.

My clinical approach integrates several therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, existential exploration, narrative approaches, and mindfulness techniques to empower clients in charting their own course toward healing and fulfillment. I will work collaboratively with you to tailor treatment to meet your unique needs and goals. I am passionate about working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, grief, life transitions, identity formation, and those in the prenatal/perinatal phase of life. In the counseling room, you will find a nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and work towards meaningful personal growth.

I received my B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University and am currently working towards my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. I am committed to receiving ongoing training and consultation so that I can best serve a diverse range of clients. My work experience includes 11 years in Human Resources at various technology companies, volunteering with the Colorado chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and facilitating grief support groups at HeartLight Center here in Denver.

It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you uncover new possibilities for growth.
