• About Kristen Bredar, Intern
    Arvada & Virtual Session

I believe suffering and symptoms come from unprocessed painful and traumatic experiences from the past and living a life out of alignment with our true selves. When we are brought to our knees in suffering, life demands us to meet ourselves in a new way, leading us on a path towards healing and wholeness. In our work together, you will experience safety and compassion where all “parts” of you are heard and honored. I will deeply listen to you, provide unconditional positive regard, guide and support as we unearth and work through painful experiences, offer encouragement and regulation tools, and ultimately empower you.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Arizona and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Regis University. Additionally, I am a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor. My specialties include trauma and PTSD, nervous system dysregulation, OCD, anxiety and panic, chronic illness, and life transitions. My approach is holistic, trauma-focused, and attachment-based. I utilize somatic (body-based) modalities, Internal Family Systems (IFS, “parts” work), neuroplasticity, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and polyvagal techniques.

As the poet Rumi beautifully puts it, “The Wound is the place where the Light enters you.” My commitment is to walk alongside you in cultivating your resiliency and creating a more joyful, fulfilling, and meaningful life. I look forward to joining you in your journey towards healing, wholeness, and re-igniting your inner light.
