• About Samantha Loeffler, LSW

Often, we embark on the journey of self-exploration and become caught in a mirage of questioning. Aware that previous life experiences have impacted currently presenting challenges, patterning of behavior, and relationships, and yet we continue on to engage in what we thought we learned to be correct. You have begun broadening your awareness and yet, something still seems to be nagging. It’s hard to find permission for enjoyment when the questions continue to circle; the desire for joy and presence persists. Feeling readiness to uncover the roots and shift away from operating out of the past. This is the moment that often serves as a catalyst for growth and transformation.

In practice, I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based approach and believe the foundation of the therapeutic relationship is built on establishing rapport and trust throughout the therapeutic process. My intention is to provide each person with a supportive space, empowering the expression of the most authentic self. The primary modalities that I utilize in partnership with my clients are EMDR and mindfulness-based interventions. Recognizing that sometimes we may simply need someone to hear, validate, and sit with us throughout this journey; I honor the talking space that naturally occurs in the process while encouraging experiential and interactive interventions as well. Due to specializing in trauma and EMDR, I will often view current challenges through the lens of past experience and cultivate exploration surrounding this.

At this time I am passionate about supporting those processing through trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship conflict, and identity formation. Additionally, I appreciate the opportunity to support young adults through navigating life transitions, periods of individuation, and exploration of self-identity. I look forward to connecting!
